This stylish workhorse is our modern interpretation of the classic Shaker peg rail.
Use it to line a hallway, decorate a mudroom, or organize a bathroom—the peg rail is endlessly useful and not just for clothes. (We also like it for hanging brooms in a utility space.) It’s available in two sizes, with a colorful powder coated aluminum backplate and solid wood pegs.
A durable powder coated aluminum backplate supports either five or seven hardwood pegs.
The distance between every other peg is 16" to accommodate typical stud placement.
The notch in the top of the peg keeps your coats where they belong.
Dished ends protect the painted ends from routine wear and tear.
Installation is easy, but don't worry we made you a guide to help.
Practicality meets panache: the Workpegs were created when our co-founder was asked by his wife to make a Shaker peg rail that could tame her ever-present pile of clothes on the floor. He started by perfecting the peg. It’s formed from a solid wood dowel that’s been notched to provide traction for hanging items. The concave treatment on the end protects the paint from daily wear and lends a little texture, while the powder-coated aluminum backplate is both durable and a vibrant spot of color. The pegs are spaced eight inches apart so that every other peg might coincide with a wall stud for stability. We like to think the Shakers would approve.
